Building on the esteemed VariCam® legacy of breathtaking image rendition and versatile off-speed effects, this Fall Panasonic will market two new VariCams, one a 4K camera (VariCam 35) that incorporates a newly-developed super 35mm MOS image sensor; the second, a 2/3" camera (VariCam HS) that features high-speed 1080p image capture of up to 240fps to produce extraordinary high-definition imagery for the most demanding documentary, sports or SFX slow-motion applications.
Their next-generation modular two-piece design will deliver unprecedented flexibility, allowing you to move between the worlds of cinema, TV episodic, sports, documentary, and other content creation with extraordinary ease and efficiencies.

- Dual native sensitivity imager 800 & 5000 ISO, with 14+ stops of latitude
- PL mount system for rugged lens interchange
- Integral ND filter wheel, 0.6, 1.2 and 1.8 ND filters; (2/4/6 stops)
- Records simultaneous AVC-Ultra 4k / UHD + 2k / HD + Proxy (+ Opt V-RAW)
- Records ProRes HQ and 4444 in HD / 2k
- Uncompressed RAW recording (V-RAW) with optional dockable CODEX RAW recorder
- High speed 4k recording in both AVC-Intra 4k422HS and RAW to 120fps
- Multi-format camera; 4k, UHD, 2k, HD, with choices of CODECs and frame rates.
- In-Camera-Color-Grading; apply a CDL or 3D LUT to any record format, the VF, the monitor or program outputs
- Superb OLED VF, easy to focus with 2x Optical VF Zoom + adjustable Diopter
- Camera head and Recorder can be separated by a 100 foot umbilical cable for use on cranes and jibs
