When you think of systems integration, think of how a TV studio works. Imagine all of the parts and pieces it takes to make a system like that function. Now imagine all of the other places where you may have seen live multi-camera video: sports stadiums, large churches with video screens, city council chambers, event centers, etc. At Omega, we sit down with you and determine your facility’s needs to make a system that works for you. There is no one set price for system integration. Each client can expect an analysis of what their facility requires based on this criteria: size of venue, what kind of productions will be created by the system, and what the hourly demands on such a system will entail.

Once the needs are determined, our experts will create a document that will define the needs of the facility so that both the client and the integrators agree on what basic equipment is needed and a plan can truly begin. After this analysis, a technical drawing will be created to determine all of the parts of the principle elements of production: cameras, servers, control rooms, editing suites, satellite uplinks, projectors and all of the connections in between. This document is essential. A poorly designed workflow can result in a system that is not able to handle the demands of your content and will result in frustration, missed deadlines, and poor quality. A well-designed workflow results in efficient and cost effective productions, smooth operations and a system ready to more easily upgrade over time.

After the technical drawings are created, a detailed list of equipment is created. This can often be hundreds of items from many different manufacturers. Calculations of time for the full design of the system, creating a CAD drawing, acquiring the needed equipment, installation and labeling, and producing diagrams and operations manuals will be made and a quote drawn up.
